Business Development Manager

• Minimum 6 years’ B2B sales experience in institutional hygiene, laundry chemicals, or related cleaning and hygiene solutions.
• Degree or diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a commercial qualification with strong technical aptitude.
• Proven track record in new business development, including at least 3 documented competitor conversions or group account wins.
• Strong understanding of cost-in-use calculations, chemical dosing systems, laundry processes, and basic infection-control and HACCP principles.
• Experience in proposal writing, tender preparation, commercial negotiations, and presenting to senior decision-makers.
• Proficiency in Excel, CRM systems, sales forecasting, and pipeline management.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to drive gross profit and demonstrate value beyond price.
• Established networks within hotel groups, hospitals, commercial laundries, contract cleaning, or facilities management companies.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and passport.
• Must reside in Gauteng, preferably the East Rand, and be willing to travel within South Africa and selected SADC countries, including Namibia and Mozambique.
