Financial Manager: Manufacturing FMCG

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Honours in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• CA(SA), CIMA, or similar professional qualification preferred
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
• Strong experience in stock management, costing, and inventory control
• Proven experience with manufacturing reporting and operational finance
• Advanced Excel skills
• Syspro ERP experience highly advantageous
• Strong analytical, reporting, and business partnering skills
• Experience working closely with operational, supply chain, and manufacturing teams

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with plant and operational management to provide financial insight and support.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, operational reports, and performance analysis.
• Analyse manufacturing KPIs, inventory movements, production efficiencies, and cost drivers.
• Monitor stock, wastage, fuel consumption, and factory costs against budget and targets.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to management.
• Drive costing accuracy and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Evaluate and assist with capital expenditure projects and business cases.
• Assist with month-end reporting, manufacturing provisions, and ongoing financial controls.
• Support strategic initiatives aimed at improving profitability and operational performance.
