Intermediate QA Tester – Mobile & API

Our client, based in Kempton Park, is looking for an experienced Intermediate QA Tester to join their growing technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on business-critical applications, mobile platforms and API integrations while contributing to quality-focused software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, prepare and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.

- Perform functional, regression, integration and system testing.

- Test mobile applications across different devices and operating environments.

- Perform API testing and validate requests, responses, data and integrations.

- Identify, document, track and retest software defects.

- Work closely with developers, business analysts and product teams to resolve defects.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning and retrospectives.

- Perform end-to-end testing across integrated applications and services.

- Assist with test planning, estimation and preparation of test data.

- Support production releases and post-release validation.

Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile:

Education

- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field will be advantageous.

- ISTQB certification will be advantageous.

Experience

- 3-5 years of software testing experience.

- Proven experience testing mobile applications.

- Hands-on experience with API testing.

- Experience testing RESTful APIs and JSON.

- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Skills

- Manual Software Testing.

- Mobile Application Testing.

- API Testing.

- Postman.

- REST APIs.

- JSON.

- SQL.

- Jira or similar defect-management tools.

- Regression and Integration Testing.
