Senior Accountant

Job Description:

• Take ownership of the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal controls
• Review supplier reconciliations, manage creditor relationships, and oversee the timely resolution of account queries
• Authorise payment runs and monitor cash outflows in line with company policies and payment terms
• Maintain the fixed asset register, including asset additions, disposals, depreciation calculations, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are accurately substantiated
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring deadlines are achieved and reporting standards maintained
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities by providing accurate financial information and insights
• Support the preparation of management reports and financial analysis to assist decision-making across the business
• Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
• Liaise with external auditors and assist with the successful completion of annual audit requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiencies, streamline workflows, and strengthen financial controls

Skills & Experience:

• Advanced Excel
• High attention to detail

Qualification:

• CA(SA) qualified or eligible for CA(SA) registration
