Senior Payroll Administrator

Job Description:

• Ensure payroll compliance through the preparation and submission of statutory requirements, including PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA, EMP201 and EMP501, while maintaining accurate payroll records and supporting audit requirements
• Manage the end-to-end payroll function using Sage 300 People, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, weekly wage payments, salary adjustments, overtime, leave transactions, deductions, promotions, transfers, and terminations
• Perform payroll reconciliations and control checks, including payroll reports, payroll journals, employee benefits, third-party payments, bank reconciliations, leave balances, and statutory payments to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Administer employee benefits, including Medical Aid and Provident Fund enrolments, amendments, withdrawals, terminations, and payroll-related benefit changes, ensuring all records are maintained accurately
• Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding processes by coordinating payroll activation, employee documentation, benefit administration, final pay calculations, UIF documentation, and other employment-related requirements
• Maintain and update employee payroll information, including banking details, allowances, payroll schedules, leave records, cost allocations, and payroll system configurations within Sage 300 People
• Support employees and management with payroll-related queries, employment confirmations, ESS functionality, and general payroll administration while ensuring a high level of service delivery
• Assist the Payroll Manager with month-end processes, audit preparation, reporting requirements, process improvements, and the ongoing enhancement of payroll controls and procedures

Skills & Experience:

• SAGE 300 People (Non-negotiable)
• High volume experience

Qualification:

• Diploma OR Degree
