This role is focused on driving new business growth across mid-market and enterprise accounts within the Financial Services sector.
You will lead complex, consultative sales cycles spanning communications, messaging, voice, and email solutions.
The position combines technical solution selling, strategic account development, prospecting, and commercial negotiation.
You will partner closely with customers to understand their business and technical needs and design solutions tailored to their specific use cases.
Working cross-functionally with sales, product, finance, legal, pricing, operations, and solutions engineering teams, you will help shape successful customer outcomes.
You will own territory strategy, pipeline development, forecasting, and revenue performance while navigating competitive enterprise buying environments.

Accountabilities
- Drive new customer acquisition and own a quota for incremental Account Contract Value (iACV), consistently pursuing and closing new business opportunities.
- Lead highly analytical and consultative sales cycles involving complex vendor selection processes and competitive enterprise buying environments.
- Prospect across existing customer bases and greenfield accounts, developing new opportunities and executing strategies for sustained territory penetration.
- Engage Financial Services customers to understand their business objectives, technical requirements, and use cases, then align them with relevant communications platform capabilities.
- Sell and position messaging, voice, email, and related communications solutions, including technologies such as SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, and other digital messaging capabilities.
- Develop tailored solutions and business cases that demonstrate clear value and address both technical and commercial customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Pricing, Operations, Sales, Services, Product, and Solutions Engineering teams to structure mutually beneficial agreements and successfully close deals.
- Present complex technical, contractual, and financial information clearly to senior stakeholders, building confidence in proposed solutions.
- Manage multiple opportunities, projects, and competing priorities simultaneously while maintaining strong execution throughout the sales cycle.
- Develop long-term territory strategies, account plans, and sales programs designed to increase market penetration and revenue growth.
- Act as a customer advocate by communicating market feedback, product needs, and industry requirements to internal product and technical teams.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast information using Salesforce and other relevant customer relationship management tools.
- Monitor developments within the Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) industry and share relevant market insights and best practices with colleagues and sales leadership.
- 5+ years of full-cycle sales experience, including at least 1 year managing or leading highly analytical, quantitative products or solutions for customers.
- Proven experience selling technical Software as a Service (SaaS), Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), or similar technology solutions.
- Experience with outbound prospecting, both within existing customer accounts and through greenfield enterprise account development.
- Strong track record of executing strategic account development and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) strategies to increase territory penetration.
- Demonstrated technical solution-selling experience, with the ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into effective technology solutions.
- Experience influencing business leaders and highly technical stakeholders while building trusted, long-term partnerships.
- Strong analytical and data-driven approach to account development, opportunity identification, and value demonstration.
- Demonstrated experience managing business forecasts, financial models, and complex commercial opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to define processes, develop new programs, and operate effectively in evolving environments.
- Proven record of delivering market-driven results, particularly with enterprise and large-scale customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Deep experience with telecommunications, CPaaS, SMS aggregators, carriers, or global communications platforms is highly desirable.
- Experience in quantitative industries such as DevOps, FinTech, advertising optimization, investment banking, cybersecurity, or commodity trading is a plus.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% as required for customer and team meetings.

- Estimated salary of $90,936-$113,670 in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California outside the San Francisco Bay Area.
