This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of robust back-end applications within a multidisciplinary software engineering environment. You will participate across the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and implementation through deployment and operation. Working on systems designed to serve millions of users, you will help build scalable, reliable, and high-quality technology solutions. The role combines hands-on development with technical problem-solving, code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement. You will also act as a technical reference for the team, helping resolve complex challenges and sharing knowledge. Accountabilities:

• Work as a Software Engineer within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to technical discussions, solution proposals, planning, and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain back-end applications throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception and implementation through deployment and operation.
• Serve as a technical reference for the team, providing guidance on complex technical questions and helping resolve critical issues and development blockers.
• Apply object-oriented programming principles, SOLID principles, and established Design Patterns when implementing, testing, and maintaining software solutions.
• Design and develop scalable solutions capable of supporting millions of users while maintaining reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Analyze and respond effectively to requests from Business, Product, and other stakeholder teams, translating needs into appropriate technical solutions.
• Ensure the quality and reliability of software deliveries through appropriate testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to improving development standards across the team.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for services and solutions.
• Identify opportunities for technical, architectural, and performance improvements and contribute to their implementation.
• Share technical knowledge with colleagues and support the ongoing development of the wider engineering team.
• Continuously develop technical expertise, explore new approaches, and remain open to learning and improving engineering practices.

Requirements

• Professional experience in software development, particularly in back-end engineering within multidisciplinary or agile technology teams.
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Java 17+.
• Experience developing applications using the Spring Framework.
• Practical knowledge of designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, with a solid understanding of data persistence concepts.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and the principles involved in building distributed applications.
• Familiarity with SOLID principles, Design Patterns, automated testing, code reviews, and maintainable software development practices.
• Ability to design scalable solutions and troubleshoot complex technical challenges effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand business and product requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset with an interest in mentoring, knowledge sharing, and contributing to the growth of other team members.
