Profile match
Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Engineering Manager, Corporate Integrations based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to build a new Corporate Integrations engineering team from the ground up.

You’ll recruit and develop a team of three engineers while establishing engineering practices, processes, and stakeholder relationships.

The team will own integrations connecting critical corporate systems across areas such as finance, billing, and procurement.

You’ll translate business processes into scalable integration designs, APIs, and reliable data flows that support other engineering teams.

The role combines people leadership, technical direction, architecture, and hands-on contribution during the early stages of team formation.

You’ll shape the team’s backlog and roadmap in close partnership with business stakeholders who bring deep knowledge of their operational processes.

Working within a fully remote engineering organization, you’ll help mature development practices around cloud infrastructure, testing, delivery, security, and observability.

Accountabilities:

    • Build the Corporate Integrations team from the ground up by recruiting and hiring three engineers.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage the team on a day-to-day basis while supporting performance and professional growth.
    • Establish effective team practices, engineering standards, and ways of working for a newly formed function.
    • Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders across corporate functions.
    • Work directly with non-technical stakeholders to understand business processes, gather requirements, and clarify priorities.
    • Translate business process knowledge into clearly defined integration designs and technical requirements.
    • Own and prioritize the team's backlog in partnership with business stakeholders.
    • Help shape the integration roadmap based on business needs, technical considerations, and organizational priorities.
    • Oversee the full software development lifecycle for integrations and APIs, from requirements and design through deployment and maintenance.
    • Guide the architecture and implementation of APIs that provide clean access layers to corporate systems for other engineering teams.
    • Ensure reliable movement and transformation of data between business systems.
    • Drive engineering best practices including automated testing, continuous integration and deployment, code reviews, design reviews, monitoring, and observability.
    • Ensure integrations and APIs are secure, scalable, maintainable, and reliable.
    • Provide hands-on technical contribution and coding support, particularly while the team is being established.
    • Provide technical direction and architectural guidance to engineers.
    • Collaborate with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to align solutions with organization-wide standards.
    • Help mature engineering processes and practices as the broader organization evolves.
    • Manage competing priorities and multiple initiatives while maintaining focus on delivery and team effectiveness.
    • Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
      • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
      • At least 3 years of experience in an engineering management or technical leadership role.
      • Deep expertise within the .NET ecosystem.
      • Strong C# experience and willingness to lead a team working primarily in F# and functional programming.
      • Solid working knowledge of a major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
      • Strong understanding of relational databases and distributed systems.
      • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders to discover, clarify, and document requirements.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical perspectives.
      • Strong people leadership and mentoring capabilities.
      • Ability to manage ambiguity and make effective decisions in a newly established team environment.
      • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
      • Experience with software architecture, API design, integrations, and modern engineering practices.
      • F# or other functional programming experience is preferred.
      • AWS experience is preferred, particularly with services such as ECS and Aurora.
      • Experience with Kafka or other streaming and messaging technologies is preferred.
      • Previous experience building an engineering team from scratch is a plus.
      • Experience working in an early-stage startup or establishing a new team within a larger organization is advantageous.
      • Must be eligible to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without employment sponsorship.
      • Benefits:

        • Fully remote position within the United States.
        • Quarterly incentive plan.
        • 136 hours of paid time off, equivalent to 17 days annually, available for sick or personal use.
        • Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
        • Tuition reimbursement for education related to the role.
        • Employee referral bonuses.
        • Employee recognition and rewards programs.
        • Paid volunteer time to support charitable and community causes.
        • Employee discount programs.
        • Wellness incentives of up to $100 per year for completing eligible challenges.
        • Potential discounts on benefit contribution rates through wellness participation.
        • Benefits are subject to applicable eligibility requirements and plan conditions.
        • Employment is contingent on successfully completing applicable pre-employment requirements, including E-Verify and substance abuse testing.
