QA Analyst
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Analyst based in India.
This is a fully remote opportunity focused on ensuring the quality and stability of enterprise applications in a production support environment.
You will act as a critical quality gate for Tier 2 fixes, releases, patches, and configuration changes before they reach production.
The role combines hands-on manual and automated testing across vendor-supported SaaS and custom .NET and Microsoft SharePoint applications.
You will investigate defects, validate fixes, perform regression testing, and provide clear evidence of release readiness.
The position also offers opportunities to improve reusable automation frameworks, test coverage, and QA processes.
You will collaborate with technical and support teams in a structured environment where accuracy, documentation, and timely execution are essential.
This is a long-term contract position with fully remote work from India and an afternoon-to-evening IST schedule.
Accountabilities
Own Tier 2 quality validation by reproducing reported issues, validating fixes, confirming acceptance criteria, and documenting comprehensive test evidence.
Perform manual and automated regression, impact, smoke, and targeted retesting to ensure fixes do not introduce issues across dependent workflows or systems.
Support release validation for patches, configuration updates, maintenance releases, and other production changes.
Build, maintain, update, debug, and execute automation scripts, including scripts created by other team members.
Develop automation scripts from scratch using tools and technologies such as Playwright with TypeScript and Selenium with Java.
Test and validate custom .NET and Microsoft SharePoint applications alongside vendor-supported SaaS solutions.
Manage defects throughout their lifecycle, including logging, tracking, retesting, risk communication, and status reporting using tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or TestRail.
Build and maintain reusable regression test packs and incident-driven test scenarios to improve testing efficiency and consistency.
Produce clear, stakeholder-ready documentation covering test results, evidence, risks, defects, and release readiness.
Collaborate with support and technical teams to validate vendor fixes and coordinate testing activities.
Use AI-enabled tools where appropriate to improve test design, defect analysis, automation, and validation productivity.
Where applicable, support QA team coordination by assigning, tracking, and monitoring testing activities and deliverables.
10+ years of professional experience in QA, software testing, or enterprise application quality assurance, preferably in production or operational support environments.
Strong hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing, including maintaining and updating existing automation scripts and developing automation scripts from scratch.
Proven experience testing custom .NET and/or Microsoft SharePoint applications.
Experience with automation technologies such as Playwright with TypeScript, Selenium with Java, Eclipse, and VS Code.
Strong understanding of defect validation, regression testing, release testing, smoke testing, and impact analysis.
Experience with defect tracking and test management platforms such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or TestRail.
Familiarity with vendor-supported SaaS environments and the validation of vendor-provided fixes.
Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate testing outcomes, risks, and release-readiness recommendations.
Experience with AI tools for test design, defect analysis, or QA productivity is an advantage.
Exposure to ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow is a plus; training may be provided.
Familiarity with Power BI, GitHub Enterprise, and GitHub Copilot is beneficial.
Experience working within structured software release and production support environments.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder-management abilities.
Experience managing or coordinating QA team members is desirable but optional.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment.
