Forward Deployed Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer based in India.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will bridge business needs and advanced AI engineering to deliver production-ready solutions for enterprise customers. You’ll partner with Sales, Engineering, Product, Research, Security, and other cross-functional teams to identify high-value opportunities and turn them into scalable deployments. The role combines consulting, solution architecture, hands-on software development, and customer engagement. You’ll take complex workflows from discovery and prototyping through production adoption and optimization. More than 60% of your work will involve coding, agent development, and deployment. Your impact will be measured through adoption, measurable workflow improvements, and feedback that influences future products and models. Accountabilities

• Identify opportunities across go-to-market teams to introduce and scale agentic solutions, intelligent automation, complex data models, and AI-powered workflows.
• Map customer and sales journeys end-to-end, identifying gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve productivity through AI and automation.
• Lead technical delivery across multiple customer deployments, taking solutions from discovery and prototyping through stable production environments.
• Design, architect, build, demonstrate, and deploy fit-for-purpose full-stack and agentic solutions based on customer requirements and business objectives.
• Own technical scoping, delivery sequencing, prioritization, and risk management while balancing scope, speed, quality, and customer experience.
• Work closely with account teams and stakeholders to understand requirements, guide adoption, remove blockers, and ensure successful implementation.
• Develop production-grade software and AI agents, with more than 60% of the role focused on hands-on coding, agent development, and deployment.
• Create proof-of-concept environments and compelling demonstrations that translate complex technical capabilities into tangible business value.
• Convert successful approaches into reusable tools, playbooks, frameworks, and building blocks that can accelerate future deployments.
• Provide actionable field feedback to Product and Research teams on model performance, customer needs, and opportunities for product or roadmap improvements.
• Engage confidently with technical and business stakeholders, including senior leaders and CXOs, acting as a trusted technical consultant throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product, Research, Partnerships, GRC, Security, and GTM teams to maintain alignment and deliver end-to-end customer outcomes.
• Stay informed about emerging AI, cloud, and agentic technologies and help teams evaluate their practical applications.
• Maintain clear communication, strong follow-through, and proactive risk management throughout delivery.

Requirements

• 7+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience, including meaningful customer-facing or internal stakeholder-facing responsibilities.
• 5+ years of professional experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, or AWS, with GCP strongly preferred.
• Professional-level GCP certification is required; FDE-related training or certification is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience strategizing, designing, architecting, and leading the deployment of scalable cloud solutions, preferably on GCP.
• Strong production-grade software engineering skills across frontend and backend development using Python, JavaScript, or comparable technologies.
• Hands-on experience building or deploying systems powered by large language models (LLMs) or generative AI, with an understanding of how model behavior affects product and user experience.
• Ability to take ambiguous, complex problems and turn them into practical, scalable solutions within fast-moving environments and tight deadlines.
• Strong architectural thinking, full-stack technical judgment, and the ability to make informed trade-offs between business objectives and technical constraints.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work effectively across engineering, product, sales, and executive audiences.
• Strong consulting mindset, with the ability to understand business workflows and connect technology solutions to measurable outcomes.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities proactively, challenge assumptions constructively, and drive initiatives independently from concept through completion.
• Strong foresight, risk-management capabilities, and the ability to adapt solutions in real time without compromising customer experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high degree of ownership and accountability.
