As a GTM Strategic Finance Manager, you will build and own the financial engine supporting a rapidly scaling go-to-market organization. You will partner closely with senior finance and commercial leaders to guide investment decisions, pricing, deal strategy, and growth planning. The role combines strategic finance, revenue forecasting, deal desk leadership, sales compensation, and business analytics. You will work with a complex consumption-based business model spanning multiple products and distinct unit economics. Success will require strong financial judgment, hands-on analysis, and the ability to turn data into clear recommendations. This is an opportunity to build scalable frameworks from the ground up while influencing high-impact commercial decisions in a fast-moving technology environment.
Accountabilities
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to go-to-market leadership and senior finance stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations on investment decisions, commercial strategy, and business performance.
- Own and continuously improve the deal desk process, including deal reviews, advisory support, approval thresholds, gross margin floors, and discounting strategies.
- Develop and manage the go-to-market financial model, translating pipeline into bookings and recognized consumption revenue while defining ramp, utilization, and forecasting assumptions.
- Lead annual planning and forecasting processes in close partnership with Sales, Revenue Operations, and other go-to-market stakeholders.
- Design, manage, and administer sales compensation programs, including compensation structures, quota setting, and commission calculations.
- Build and enhance go-to-market analytics and reporting in partnership with Data, Revenue Operations, and Sales teams.
- Track and analyze key go-to-market performance indicators, including customer acquisition cost (CAC) payback, quota attainment, sales efficiency, and other commercial metrics.
- Translate complex financial and operational data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Establish repeatable financial frameworks and scalable processes rather than relying on one-off analyses.
- Take ownership of ambiguous, high-impact initiatives and independently gather data, investigate business questions, and connect insights across functions.
- 6-10 years of progressive experience in go-to-market strategic finance, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Revenue Operations (RevOps), deal desk, or a similar function within high-growth B2B technology companies.
- 2+ years of experience in investment banking and/or management consulting at a top-tier firm.
- Expert financial modeling capabilities in Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to build models from scratch and translate outputs into clear business insights for senior leaders.
- Deep understanding of go-to-market metrics, commercial economics, and revenue performance drivers.
- Hands-on experience with quota design, sales compensation plan design, and sales capacity modeling.
- Strong ability to advise on complex commercial decisions, evaluate trade-offs, and balance growth with profitability and margin considerations.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, align teams around financial decisions, and communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong ownership mentality, initiative, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality work.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment where processes and frameworks may need to be built from scratch.
- Strong learning agility and willingness to adopt new technologies, analytical approaches, and artificial intelligence tools.
- Experience with usage-based, consumption-based, or credit-denominated business models is a plus.
- Background in Voice AI, Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), telecommunications, or real-time infrastructure is a plus.
- Experience with early-stage startups and AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms such as Salesforce and Gong, billing platforms such as Stripe and Metronome, and commission tools such as CaptivateIQ is a plus.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms such as QuickBooks or NetSuite is beneficial.
- Base salary range of $190,000-$250,000 USD.
