What will you do
The Johnson Controls’ Accelerated Commercial Excellence (ACE) Program is an early career 18-month sales development programdesigned to transform recent graduates into skilled channelor product sales individuals.Over the course of the program, participants receive instructor-led intensive training, hands-on customer experienceand mentorship to build technical expertiseand sales acumen, preparing them for impactful sales roles within our organization.This program is designed to prepare candidates for product channel sales across seven different Johnson Controls’business units with a single cohort, summer hiring cadence.
In this particular role, you will be supporting Johnson Controls’ HVAC Applied Largobusiness unit.We are a global leader in flexible zone-control HVAC solutions that meet the higheststandards for quiet, efficient performance. FromVAV terminalsto fan coil units, air-handling units and configurable DDC controls, our Largo operation and support grouphelp our customers find the perfect solution for their zone-control air conditioning needs every day.
Duringthe first six monthsof the program, the entire ACE cohortwill be based out ofMilwaukee WI working at Johnson Controls’ HQ office in the northwest suburb of GlendaleWI. At the end of monthsix ,you will be requiredto relocate to a predetermined assigned location where upon program graduation you will transition toan inside sales role covering accounts in a specificterritory. How will youdo it
Provide technical, commercial, and productsupport toHVACfield sales personnel and customers
Support Regional Sales Managers (RSM) andmulti-channel partners with product training, product selection, pricing, purchase orders, etc.
Provide leadmanagementassistancefromwebsite inquiries, webinarattendees,roadshows,etc.to generate new business opportunities and promote new product introductions
Enable cross-collaboration between customer accounts and warranty, techsupportorfinancing specialists as needed
Attendaccount planning cadences and contribute to team goal attainment with RSMs
Assist RSMswith opportunity pipeline management and account information updates in CRM tool
Promote customer usage for our online ordering tool(SolutionNavigator) and guidecustomers through the platformand product portfolio
Prepare, practiceand lead internal product presentations (SME) customer-facing trainingand interactions
Attend frequenttraining sessions to developfoundationalHVACand Controls product knowledge, salestacticsand industry/market trends
Travel to customer locationsand eventsfor additionalsalessupport andshadowing(approximately onceor twiceper quarter)
What we look for
Required:
Bachelor’s degree minimum (Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering Degree highly preferred)
Recent graduate or undergraduate senior expecting to graduate between Apr 2027 - Jun 2027. Program starts in Jun 2027
Proficiencywith Microsoft 365programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Must have the ability to be in Milwaukee, WI (GlendaleWI) for the first six monthsof the program, then relocateto predeterminedpermanent base (LargoFL).
U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
Technical internship experience or HVAC industry experience
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Available to travel up to 25% - dependent upon your assignments
