1. Subcontractors & Construction Accounting
- Review, verify, and process subcontractors’ invoices and payment claims.
- Prepare, review, and follow up on subcontractors’ interim and final payment certificates
- Verify quantities, approved work progress, deductions, retention, advances, and applicable taxes before processing payments.
- Maintain accurate subcontractor accounts and reconcile outstanding balances.
- Follow up on project costs, expenses, and financial commitments.
- Monitor payments against approved contracts, purchase orders, and project budgets.
2. Invoices & Accounts Payable
- Review and record supplier invoices, credit invoices, debit notes, and other financial documents.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders, delivery notes, contracts, and approvals.
- Prepare payment schedules and follow up on due payments.
- Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Track advances, deductions, retention amounts, and outstanding liabilities.
3. Banking & Treasury
- Handle daily banking transactions, transfers, deposits, withdrawals, and payment instructions.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor bank balances, cash availability, and upcoming payment obligations.
- Follow up on bank facilities, letters of guarantee, and other banking requirements, as applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of bank transactions and supporting documents.
4. Cash & Financial Transactions
- Monitor cash inflows and outflows and maintain accurate cash records.
- Prepare cash and bank payment vouchers and receipt vouchers.
- Review supporting documents and ensure proper authorization before processing payments.
- Follow up on employee advances, petty cash, settlements, and reimbursements.
- Monitor receivables, payables, and outstanding balances.
- Assist in preparing cash flow reports and payment forecasts.
5. Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Record accounting entries and ensure accurate classification of expenses and revenues.
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in month-end closing and preparation of periodic financial reports.
- Coordinate with procurement, project management, stores, and finance teams.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and internal controls.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Mandatory previous experience in construction, contracting, or landscape companies.
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing subcontractors’ payment certificates
- Strong knowledge of supplier invoices, credit/debit notes, accounts payable, and payment processing.
- Practical experience in bank reconciliations, cash management, and banking transactions.
- Good understanding of project expenses, cost tracking, advances, retention, and payment deductions.
- Experience with accounting systems and ERP software; Odoo experience is an advantage.
