Senior Specialist, Portfolio Accounting

We are hiring foran experienced accounting professional to play a key role in investment and fund accounting operations. Therole contributes to our mission by maintaining high-quality accounting records, investigating and resolving financial discrepancies, supporting operational excellence, and driving continuous process improvement through projects, controls, and system enhancements. Working closely with colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders, the successful candidate will help uphold the standards and reliability that support informed business and investment decisions. Position Responsibilities:

• Analyze accounting data to ensure accurate accounting records;

• Investigate anomalies within Simcorp Dimension and recommend resolution or escalation to appropriate party;

• Prepare, verify and organize the information required for the preparation of monthly client reports, management reports and other financial reports;

• Analyzes financial information to ensure adherence to standards which may include any or all of the following: ledgers and preparation of journal entries, investment and derivatives accounting, preparation of trial balances or financial statements, account reconciliation or net asset value validation, etc;

• Support colleagues in their tasks or with any other issues that could arise;

• Implement and validate changes to accounting procedures and update documentation to ensure operational objectives and standards are met;

• Use appropriate judgment in dealing with unexpected issues and requests, demonstrating an ability to prioritize work;

• Participates actively in the realization of the team/department objectives;

• Lead/participate in projects as assigned to develop and implement new systems, controls and products.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with a minimum of five (5) years of experience;

• Strong knowledge of information systems and Microsoft Office suite;

• Proficient English, written and spoken

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually;

• Demonstrate initiative and take responsibility;

• Detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy;

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;

• Ability to react quickly, adapt to changes and meet tight deadlines;

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

• Experience in fund accounting or investment administration, an asset;

• Knowledge of and experience with securities instruments/settlement, foreign exchange, reconciliation, investment accounting and Fund reporting, an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Accounting designation preferred;

• Knowledge in French is an asset
