Test Automation Specialist

• Create and maintain test plans and test specifications for functional, regression, user acceptance and performance testing.
• Conduct automated and manual testing.
• Develop automated tests for new and existing functionality.
• Design and publish metrics to support automation test creation and execution.
• Monitor release quality and make recommendations regarding risks and stability.
• Research and recommend new test tools to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
• Contribute to the team’s best practices and development standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the same role.
• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related.
• Experience with CI/CD practices, automated tests, builds, and deployments.
• Experience with both automated and manual test strategies.
• Experience with UI and API automated testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of performance evaluation strategies and tests.
• Experience in testing cloud and desktop applications.
• Experience with Windows environment and .NET framework.
• Experience with cloud environment such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Understanding applications from both technical and end-user perspectives.
• Staying current with software industry trends and best practices.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, termination of test reliability and validity, analysis.
• Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software and database software.
