Role Overview :
As a Firmware/Baremetal Driver Developer, you will be at the heart of hardware-software integration, bridging the gap between low-level silicon and high-level applications. You will work closely with cross-functional hardware and software teams to design, implement, and optimize drivers that power next-generation embedded systems. Your contributions will directly impact the performance, stability, and power efficiency of complex hardware platforms, ensuring seamless functionality for end-users across diverse industrial and consumer sectors.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain robust bare-metal drivers and firmware for various microcontrollers to ensure optimal hardware-software interaction.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to perform board bring-up and troubleshoot complex system-level issues during the development lifecycle.
- Optimize low-level code for performance, memory footprint, and power consumption to meet stringent product requirements.
- Design and execute comprehensive unit tests and integration tests to validate driver functionality and system reliability.
- Participate in technical design reviews and code audits to maintain high standards of software quality and maintainability across the project lifecycle.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated proficiency in Embedded C programming with a deep understanding of memory management, pointers, and hardware-level operations.
- Strong hands-on experience in developing device drivers for various peripherals such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and DMA on ARM-based architectures.
- Ability to read and interpret complex hardware schematics and datasheets to implement effective firmware solutions.
- Proven experience working with microcontrollers and RTOS environments, with a focus on low-level debugging using tools like JTAG, Oscilloscopes, and Logic Analyzers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field, with 3 - 7 years of relevant industry experience.
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment at our Bangalore office, contributing to a high-performance engineering culture.
