SDE - 3

We are seeking an experienced SDE 3 / senior software engineer with strong expertise in Java, microservices architecture, and AWS cloud services. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance systems and mentor junior engineers while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver robust backend solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
• Architect and implement cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to system architecture decisions.
• Build and optimise RESTful APIs and ensure high performance and responsiveness.
• Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with product managers, DevOps, and frontend teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering excellence.
• Drive CI/CD pipeline improvements and deployment automation.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in Java development (Java 8/11/17+).
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Proven experience in microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of AWS services (EC2 S3 RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway).
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and asynchronous messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL, like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB).
• Experience with Docker and containerisation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc. ).
• Strong problem-solving and system design skills.
