SDE III - Java

We are looking for a highly experienced SDE III (Java) to build scalable, high-performance applications and drive technical excellence across systems. This is a hands-on role requiring strong ownership, system design expertise, and the ability to deliver impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems using Java.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features, modules, and services with high quality and within timelines.
• Architect and implement robust APIs and distributed systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best engineering practices.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, QA, and database engineers.
• Participate in system design discussions, sprint planning, and technical decision-making.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving engineering standards.
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience building highly scalable, distributed systems.
• Strong experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects.
• Ability to analyse systems both broadly: client-server architecture, databases, and system flow. Deeply: concurrency, threads, performance, and complexity.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot / Spring Framework.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and performance tuning.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
