A bit about your role
As a Customer Field Technician, you’llwork independently to complete a variety of tasks across different nbntechnologies. Your work will include installations, repairs, maintenance, and supporting customers in their homes or businesses.
Your day might involve installing copper or fibrecabling, setting up customer equipment, identifyingand fixing faults, and ensuring customers feel supported and informed throughout the process.
Working hours are between 7am and 7pm, with flexibility based on business needs. You’llreceive full training, all required tools, and ongoing supportso you feel confident and set up for success.
Safety is a fundamental part of this role-whether you'rehandling equipment, working in customers’ premises, or completing technical tasks, you’llbe expected to consistently apply safe work practices and follow nbn’ssafety procedures.
A bit about you
Previousexperience in telecommunications isn’tneeded - we’llteach you everything you need to know. What matters most is that you enjoy hands-on work, like solving problems, and feel comfortable speaking with customers.
You might come from a trade, a hands-on technical job, or a customer-focused trade role. Experience in fields like plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, labouring, construction, mechanical work, or manufacturing is highly valued.
You’ll do well in this role if you enjoy working independently, managing your workload, and taking pride in delivering quality work. A strong commitment to safety, clear communication skills, and a current, clean Driver’s Licenceare essential.
