We are currently seeking a Database Engineer (Oracle) to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida (US-FL), United States (US).
Database Engineer (Oracle)
Responsibilities
- Analyze database and infrastructure vulnerabilities and develop remediation plans.
- Execute vulnerability remediation activities and validate successful resolution across development, test, and production environments.
- Support deployment, patching, maintenance, and operational activities across Oracle database platforms.
- Perform database patching and upgrade activities while maintaining platform stability and compliance.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to address database-related security findings.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience administering Oracle databases in enterprise environments
- 5+ years of experience supporting Oracle 12c/19c or newer versions
- 5+ years of experience with database performance tuning and optimization
- 3+ years of experience performing database vulnerability patching, remediation, and security updates in production environments
- 3+ years of experience with backup and recovery using RMAN
- 3+ years of experience implementing Oracle security and access controls
- Experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard administration
- Experience supporting high-availability and disaster recovery environments
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
- Experience troubleshooting production issues and performing root-cause analysis
- Strong communication skills and experience supporting business-critical applications
Preferred Skills
- Experience with MSSQL or Sybase database platforms.
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments with security and compliance requirements.
- Experience with automation and scripting for database administration.
