As the Engineering Manager for Field Service at Omnidian, you will build and lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and operating the Field Service platform that powers our technician experience and field operations.
This is a unique opportunity to help establish and grow our CRM engineering presence in India while partnering closely with engineering, product, and business leaders in the US. You'll play a key role in building the team, developing engineering talent, and gradually transitioning ownership of critical platform capabilities to create a scalable, globally distributed engineering organization.
As a hands-on engineering leader, you'll combine technical leadership with people leadership - driving delivery excellence, strengthening engineering practices, and fostering a collaborative, customer-focused culture. You'll also help the team adopt modern engineering capabilities, including AI-driven software development, where they improve productivity, quality, and customer outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Build, hire, and grow a high-performing engineering team in India.
- Coach, mentor, and develop engineers through regular feedback, career development, and technical guidance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
- Help establish engineering processes, team norms, and best practices as the organization scales.
- Partner closely with US engineering leaders to build a cohesive, high-performing global team.
- Provide technical leadership for Field Service architecture, platform strategy, and engineering standards.
- Guide solution design across Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, APIs, Platform Events, integrations, and related Salesforce technologies.
- Participate in architecture reviews and technical design discussions to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Promote engineering best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, security, observability, and operational excellence.
- Drive platform improvements that enhance scalability, reliability, developer productivity, and long-term maintainability.
- Partner with Product Management and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business priorities and roadmap commitments.
- Lead Agile planning, sprint execution, release management, and predictable software delivery.
- Balance feature delivery with technical debt reduction, platform modernization, and operational improvements.
- Remove delivery blockers, manage risks, and continuously improve engineering execution.
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Operations, and Engineering teams to deliver solutions that improve technician and customer experiences.
- Collaborate closely with US-based teams to transition platform ownership, share knowledge, and establish effective global delivery practices.
- Communicate technical strategy, delivery progress, and engineering priorities to stakeholders and leadership.
- Encourage adoption of modern engineering tools and practices that improve software quality and team productivity.
- Help the team leverage AI capabilities and AI-driven development tools where they create measurable business value.
- Promote responsible experimentation with emerging technologies while maintaining security, quality, and engineering standards.
