• Recognized across the company as an expert in multiple product areas; people seek out your expertise

Influence Strategy & Roadmap

Establishes prioritization principles that inform consistent decision making. Contributes to strategy planning with senior leaders.

• Ruthlessly prioritizes with company objectives in mind, even if it means killing projects or trading team members to another squad
• Always looks for opportunities to reduce scope. Is pragmatic and clever when evaluating new ideas.
• Epitomizes an experimentation mindset always centered in hypothesis thinking and rapid experimentation
• Helps refine metrics & analytical models to improve quality of data-driven decision
• Executes the fundamentals of leadership and knows when to do vs. delegate, decide vs. empower
• Effectively communicates concise data and facts to leadership to drive fast decisions

Deliver Products and Drive Usage

Delivered work has measurable positive impact on company and ADEPT performance; regularly reports on all products managed and leads others to do the same

• Connects company objectives to team work and defines measures to track impact
• Consistently challenges team to accomplish more than they think they can
• Sets a predictable cadence for product delivery and high bar for product quality
• Demonstrated ability to consistently solve large and unique problems by using a data and customer-driven process and tightly managing scope

Collaborate and Communicate

Influential in getting buy-in for complicated and long-term product investments, driving every stage of product delivery from ideation to enablement and adoption

• Develops meaningful relationships with key individuals internally and externally, regardless of level, to achieve business objectives
• Handles conflict and hard conversations directly and with maturity--can be trusted to lead through challenges or uncertainty
• Ensures their squad understands the company & department strategy, how their work ties to it and regularly communicates it
• Is a visible internal and external spokesperson for the product
• Is effective at motivating and leading the squad, providing required context, setting timelines, and reporting to leadership

Plays an active role in recruiting talent and team building. Actively seeks out challenging projects and difficult feedback.

• Ensures design & engineering are engaged stakeholders in all product initiatives. Proactively involves them as partners for roadmap items & planning.

Knowledge and Experience - Legacy Section

Typically 5+ years product experience or equivalent skills

• Market Awareness: Becoming a domain (product area) expert. Tracks trends but is also aware of specific competitor positioning
• PM Expertise: Excels at the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of Product Management
• Business Expertise: Keen business acumen and has a strong understanding of the fundamentals of product success
• X-Functional: Work begins to scale beyond their core area of responsibility; regularly works cross-functionally to support the end-to-end Product Development process and cross-functional initiatives
• Metrics/Data: Identifies and tracks the right metrics. Responsible for creating dashboards/reporting. Uses data to consistently meet or exceed goals.
