Advanced Services Engineer, CSS Tech Delivery

As a member of the Support organization your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means as well as technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

You will work at the crossroads of application integration middleware engineering and cloud modernization. You will support customers running essential business processes on a mix of Oracle Fusion Middleware Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle SaaS applications.

• Deliver advanced technical support across Oracle Fusion Middleware components: SOA Suite Service Bus (OSB) WebLogic Server Oracle API Platform Oracle Identity Management and related integration services.
• Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in distributed systems multi-tier architectures and mission-critical integrations.
• Design implement and test integration solutions spanning on-premise systems and Oracle Cloud (PaaS OCI).
• Support the full lifecycle of middleware assets: installation configuration tuning patching security hardening and performance optimization.
• Ensure stability and reliability of high-availability topologies clustering load-balancing coherence and messaging.
• Develop and maintain integrations using OIC Integration OIC Process Automation VBCS REST/SOAP services and event-driven patterns.
• Conduct architecture reviews and recommend improvements that enhance resilience observability and scalability.
• Collaborate with product owners architects and customer technical teams to understand business requirements assess risks and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in incident problem and change management activities while ensuring strong governance and documentation standards.
• Provide proactive services health checks and performance assessments to prevent outages and minimize operational risks.
• Stay aligned with Oracle engineering best practices and guide customers on roadmaps upgrades and modernization strategies.

• Strong SQL and PL/SQL capabilities.
• Working knowledge of OCI services: Networking Load Balancers Vault Logging Monitoring API Gateway.
• Familiarity with automation tools: Ansible Terraform Git CI/CD pipelines.
• Middleware performance tuning JVM analysis thread analysis and diagnostic tools.
• Security and identity expertise (OID OAM OUD) is a strong plus.

As a Systems Engineer you will interface with the customers IT staff on a regular basis. Either at the clients site or from a remote location you will be responsible for resolution of moderately complex technical problems related to the installation recommended maintenance and use and repair/workarounds for Oracle products. You should have knowledge of some Oracle products and one platform that is being supported. You will be expected to work with only general guidance from senior engineers and management and in some areas may work independently.
Translate business and integration requirementscaptured by functional or solution consultantsinto robust scalable and secure technical designs across SOA Suite OSB WebLogic OIC and hybrid architectures.

• Develop test and deploy middleware components integrations and services while ensuring alignment with Oracle engineering standards and CSS delivery methodologies.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting integration flows system performance platform stability and middleware customizations with clear documentation of root causes and recommended actions.
• Support Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Cloud services in accordance with contractual SLAs ensuring high-quality and timely technical delivery.
• Collaborate with Oracle Support to investigate and resolve customer SRs accelerating issue resolution through structured diagnostics and cross-team coordination.
• Perform unit tests debugging and performance tuning for all middleware components ensuring stability and precision across complex data flows and distributed systems.
• Maintain and enhance existing integration landscapes by applying patches upgrades performance improvements and configuration optimizations.
• Ensure adherence to Oracles security guidelines including credential vaulting certificate management SSL configuration and IAM/OAuth patterns.
• Deliver technical knowledge-transfer sessions to internal teams delivery partners and customer technical stakeholders.
• Work closely with functional teams architects and delivery leaders to estimate development work effort define scope boundaries and uphold delivery excellence.
• Manage the technical relationship with designated customer accounts ensuring continuity transparency and alignment with CSS engagement goals.
• Build and sustain trusted relationships with Oracle colleagues customer stakeholders and external partners strengthening Oracles positioning across the account lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for middleware-related support interactions orchestrating cross-functional collaboration as required.
• Safeguard customer satisfaction retention and renewal through added-value service delivery proactive risk mitigation and high technical accuracy.
• Escalate complex incidents to the Technical Account Manager or specialized Oracle teams at the appropriate time ensuring effective resolution paths.

• Contribute actively to the development of new CSS service offerings reusable assets automation scripts and best practice documentation.
