Application Support Engineer

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Troubleshoot applications using Java and JavaScript, including code analysis, debugging, issue investigation, and minor code fixes.

- Review and understand existing application code to identify defects and resolve application issues.

- Independently execute configuration fixes and conduct detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

- Provide comprehensive evidence, diagnostics, logs, and technical findings to enable Development teams to implement code-level resolutions.

- Troubleshoot applications built using Node.js, ReactJS, AngularJS, and Serverless Architecture.

- Investigate production incidents, assess application impact, identify root causes, and drive issues toward resolution.

- Replicate production defects in non-production environments to identify root causes and validate potential fixes.

- Analyze application logs, source code, API interactions, and infrastructure components to identify and resolve issues.

- Work hands-on with AWS API Gateway, Lambda, SNS, DynamoDB, and DocumentDB.

- Develop and use Python scripts and automation for operational and application-support activities.

- Manage production incidents while ensuring high application availability and adherence to SLA commitments.

- Understand and troubleshoot end-to-end e-commerce application workflows and business processes.

- Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Product, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues effectively.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong hands-on experience with Java and JavaScript.

- Experience in code analysis, debugging, troubleshooting, and minor code fixes.

- Strong production support and incident management experience.

- Hands-on experience with Node.js, ReactJS, AngularJS, and Serverless Architecture.

- Strong knowledge of AWS services including :

1. AWS API Gateway

2. AWS Lambda

3. AWS SNS

4. AWS DynamoDB

5. AWS DocumentDB

- Experience with application logs, APIs, infrastructure troubleshooting, and RCA.

- Experience replicating production defects in non-production environments.

- Python scripting and automation experience.

- Good understanding of e-commerce domain workflows and end-to-end application processes.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Strong production-support mindset with the ability to independently investigate and resolve application incidents.

- Ability to work under SLA-driven environments and handle critical production issues.

- Strong coordination skills with Development and cross-functional technical teams.
