Job Summary:

OSU Cascades invites applications for four part-time (0.50 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term Faculty Research Assistant: Methods to Optimize Contextualized Science Instruction (MOCSI)positions. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Department Head.

This position is located in Bend, Oregon.

The MOSCI Faculty Research Assistant will work on collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, preparing/presenting publications and conference reports, recruiting and communicating with project participants, collaborating with team members and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data
• Prepare and present publications and conference reports
• Participate in recruiting and communicating with project participants
• Collaborate with team members and partners on MOSCI research

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Earned research-based masters in a social science field
• Two years experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting on qualitative and quantitative data
• Established peer-reviewed publication record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in science education research
• Earned doctorate degree(s) in a social science field
• Earned degree in science education
• K-12 classroom experience
