Key Responsibilities

1. National Sales Strategy & Business Growth

  • Set annual and monthly sales targets for the three districts and translate them into measurable targets for each District Sales Manager.

  • Drive revenue growth, sales volume, market penetration, and profitability across all assigned territories.

  • Identify new market opportunities, expand distribution coverage, and develop strategic relationships with key wholesalers, major traders, and large accounts.

  • Develop and implement e-commerce sales strategies to expand the company's online presence and generate additional revenue streams.

  • Develop plans to strengthen the company's presence in wholesale markets.

2. District Management & Leadership

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and field visits to assess execution, identify challenges, and implement corrective actions.

  • Coach and develop District Sales Managers to improve leadership, sales effectiveness, and team productivity.

  • Ensure clear accountability for targets, team performance, and operational results across all districts.

3. Sales Performance & Market Analysis
  • Monitor national and district-level sales performance against approved targets and budgets.

  • Analyze sales trends, customer performance, product movement, and market share opportunities.

  • Review pricing strategies, sales margins, discounts, and promotional activities to protect profitability.

  • Monitor competitor activities, market prices, and customer purchasing behavior.

  • Develop action plans to improve slow-moving products, increase product penetration, and maximize sales opportunities.

4. Distribution & Operational Coordination
  • Oversee the effectiveness of district distribution operations in coordination with the relevant teams.

  • Ensure proper coordination between sales teams, drivers, warehouse personnel, and distribution hubs.

  • Monitor stock availability, inventory turnover, order fulfillment, delivery performance, and product losses.

  • Establish performance standards for sales and distribution operations and ensure compliance with company procedures.

  • Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, and Operations to maintain product availability and efficient order-to-delivery processes.

5. Customer & Channel Development
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, wholesalers, major traders, and distributors.

  • Identify and onboard new customers and distribution partners to expand national market coverage.

  • Develop channel-specific sales plans for wholesale markets, retailers, and other relevant customer segments.

  • Handle major customer negotiations, commercial agreements, and escalated customer issues.

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction, strong retention, and sustainable business relationships.

6. Sales Team Development & Governance
  • Define sales KPIs, performance standards, and reporting requirements for all districts.

  • Participate in recruitment, selection, and development of sales leadership and frontline sales teams.

  • Ensure consistent implementation of sales policies, pricing guidelines, credit terms, and collection procedures.

  • Promote a performance-driven culture based on accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure accurate sales forecasts, reliable reporting, and timely escalation of business risks.

7. Reporting & Business Planning
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly sales performance reports to senior management.

  • Develop national sales forecasts, budgets, market expansion plans, and resource requirements.

  • Monitor key performance indicators, including target achievement, sales growth, gross margin, collection efficiency, active customers, and distribution coverage.

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve commercial performance and support strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.

  • 12+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably including experience in a National Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, or equivalent leadership role.

  • Proven experience managing multiple districts or territories through subordinate sales managers.

  • Strong background in wholesale trading, FMCG, food distribution, or agricultural products.

  • Experience in wholesale markets, e-commerce, particularly in dates, dried fruits, nuts, and similar products, is highly preferred.
