The House of Commons hires co-op students throughout the year for diverse opportunities across various service areas. These full-time placements (35 hours per week) typically last about 16 weeks and are available during the 2026-2027 academic year, covering the spring/summer, fall, and winter terms.
Co-op students can make meaningful contributions across a wide range of fields such as:
- Administrative support, client service.
- Accounting, commerce, procurement and contracting.
- Communications, linguistics, graphic/web design.
- Architecture, interior design.
- Engineering, computer science, data science, cybersecurity, information management.
- Broadcasting, audiovisual support.
- Compensation, talent management, occupational health and safety, labour relations, project management.
- Trades, culinary arts.

Students are required to provide proof of enrolment during the hiring process.
These positions are located in Ottawa, Ontario and students are required to work on-site.
