Junior Videographer/ Editor

About the Role

We're looking for a junior camera operator and editor, fresh out of varsity, who's hungry to build a real career in content creation. You'll shoot internal projects, assist on external client shoots, and edit turnaround-fast work in DaVinci Resolve. This is a hands-on, high-pressure, same-day-turnaround environment; if you thrive under pace and love seeing your work go out the same day you shot it, this is for you.

You'll work with a lot of independence, backed by oversight and support when you need it. Client interaction is part of the role from day one, so personality matters as much as skill.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot internal content on Canon camera systems
• Assist on external client shoots (setup, support, second camera, logistics)
• Edit footage in DaVinci Resolve (Premiere Pro experience also considered)
• Manage same-day and fast-turnaround edit deadlines
• Liaise directly with clients on set; professional, warm, switched-on
• Take full ownership of camera and production equipment as if it were your own
• Contribute creative flair and ideas, not just execution

Requirements

Must-haves:

• Basic working knowledge of Canon camera systems
• Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve (or strong Premiere Pro skills with willingness to convert)
• Recently completed a relevant qualification (film, media, visual communications, or similar)
• Own reliable transport (role involves external shoots)
• Strong communication skills and comfort dealing directly with clients

Nice-to-haves:

• Some exposure to AI tools in a content/editing workflow
• A demo reel or portfolio showing creative flair, not just technical competence

What's on Offer

• R10,000/month starting, with a genuine growth path
• Real mentorship and hands-on training toward external shoots and client management
• The chance to build a career in content production from the ground up, in a team that invests in people who take ownership
