We're Hiring – Senior Manager / Lead – Strategic IT & Technology Procurement

Physics Wallah (PW) is looking for an experienced Strategic IT & Technology Procurement professional with 5+ years of experience to lead technology sourcing, strategic vendor partnerships, complex commercial negotiations, contract structuring, and technology cost optimization across enterprise IT, cloud, SaaS, and digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Technology Sourcing: Own end-to-end sourcing for cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), SaaS, enterprise software, APIs, AI/LLM platforms, cybersecurity, payment gateways, and technology services.
• Commercial & Contract Negotiations: Lead complex negotiations covering enterprise pricing, committed spend, usage-based billing, volume discounts, SLAs, payment terms, liability, renewals, and exit clauses.
• Technology Cost Optimization: Drive TCO analysis, spend rationalization, rate benchmarking, consumption optimization, and measurable savings across technology portfolios.
• Vendor & Partner Strategy: Evaluate technology providers, assess technical-commercial fit, manage strategic partnerships, and drive competitive RFPs/RFQs and vendor due diligence.
• Contract & Risk Management: Partner with Legal, Finance, Engineering, IT, Security, and Business teams to finalize MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, SLAs, security requirements, and contractual risk mitigations.
• Strategic Spend & Governance: Build technology spend visibility, forecasting, budget controls, renewal calendars, procurement dashboards, and approval frameworks.
• Stakeholder Leadership: Translate complex technical requirements into commercial strategies, challenge vendor proposals, and influence senior stakeholders on sourcing decisions.
• Process & Value Creation: Establish scalable procurement frameworks, improve sourcing turnaround time, strengthen compliance, and deliver sustainable cost and operational efficiencies.

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of relevant experience in IT procurement, technology sourcing, strategic sourcing, or technology category management.
• Proven expertise in negotiating enterprise technology contracts across cloud, SaaS, software licensing, infrastructure, or digital platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud pricing models, committed-use discounts, consumption-based billing, licensing structures, and technology commercials.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable savings, improving commercial terms, and managing high-value technology spends.
• Ability to independently lead complex sourcing initiatives and influence technical, financial, legal, and senior business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel/Google Sheets and experience building spend models, benchmarking analyses, and procurement dashboards.
