About the job:

Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to join Group Internal Audit as a member of the Data Analytics team. In this role, you will leverage data, analytics and technology to support audit activities across the Bank, helping identify trends, anomalies and potential control weaknesses, while contributing to the development of innovative analytical solutions that strengthen audit effectiveness and assurance.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the transformation of Internal Audit through innovative analytics, automation and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data analytics, analytical tests and data-driven assurance solutions to support audit engagements across business, operational, risk and technology domains.
• Extract, transform, validate and analyze large and complex datasets from multiple source systems, ensuring the completeness, accuracy and reliability of analytical outputs.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations and analytical reports, translating complex data into meaningful and actionable insights for audit teams and business stakeholders.
• Conduct exploratory analysis and ad-hoc investigations to identify trends, anomalies, outliers and potential control weaknesses, and communicate key insights and analytical outputs to audit teams and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with audit teams, business units, technology teams and data owners to identify analytics opportunities and deliver value-added insights that support audit objectives and enhance assurance.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of continuous auditing and continuous monitoring capabilities by leveraging advanced analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI and Machine Learning (ML).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or another relevant field.
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Audit Analytics, Risk Analytics, or similar fields.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Python and/or R for data extraction, analysis and automation, with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
• Knowledge of Power BI for data analysis, reporting, visualization, and dashboard development.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, data modelling, data warehousing concepts.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Experience in banking, financial services, internal audit, risk management, assurance, or consulting environments will be considered an advantage.
• Exposure to Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), predictive analytics, modern data architectures, cloud-based analytics environments, or advanced ETL/ELT processes will be an asset.
