Job Description

• Maintain and support an existing Windows-based business application.
• Diagnose and fix bugs in C# and VB.NET code.
• Develop and enhance new functionality within the existing architecture.
• Write, modify, and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, views, and related database objects.
• Investigate user-reported issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Assist with testing and deployment of application updates.
• Refactor and improve legacy code where appropriate without disrupting business operations.
• Document changes and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
• Work directly with the senior developer to understand business processes and technical requirements.
• Participate in discussions on future improvements and modernization opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma

Skills

• 3 + years’ Full Stack Development experience
• Solid experience with C# (.NET Framework / .NET).
• Working knowledge of VB.NET and the ability to read and maintain existing VB.NET code.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Good understanding of:
• Stored procedures
• Views
• Joins and query optimization
• Transactions and data integrity
• Experience maintaining or extending legacy applications.
• Familiarity with source control systems (Git or similar).
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
• Experience with Windows desktop applications (WinForms/WPF).
• Understanding of manufacturing, logistics, ERP, or operational business systems.
• Experience with reporting tools.
• Exposure to application modernization or migration projects.

Salary/Package

R35 000 Negotiable based on Experience
