Manual Software Tester
Salary: R28,000 to R35,000 per month

Remote Recruitment is looking for a Manual Software Tester to check that web applications work as intended. Working fully remotely from South Africa, you will help identify defects and provide clear evidence that supports effective fixes.
What you will do
- Review requirements and prepare practical test cases.
- Execute functional tests and record results accurately.
- Reproduce reported bugs and document the steps, environment and expected behaviour.
- Capture useful screenshots or other evidence for defect reports.
- Retest fixes and perform regression checks.
- Communicate blockers and unresolved issues clearly.
- Maintain organised testing records and distinguish confirmed defects from questions.
What we are looking for
- Practical software-testing experience.
- Strong defect-reporting skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to follow test cases and investigate unexpected behaviour.
- Clear communication and an organised approach to repeatable checks.
- The ability to work independently and communicate progress reliably.
- Reliable internet and a suitable remote-working space.
Nice to have
- Experience using Jira or similar issue-tracking software.
- Experience with cross-browser testing and basic API testing.
What is on offer
- Monthly remuneration of R28,000 to R35,000, depending on relevant skills and experience.
