Salesforce is currently seeking a Manager, Technical Consulting to join our Global Delivery Centre (GDC) team. Our Manager, Technical Consulting role plays a meaningful part in managing, training, and building the careers of our technical consulting team.

In addition to people leadership, career coaching, and project oversight responsibilities for the team, you will build our Core Data practice through leading internal initiatives, contributing to the technical practice business plan, developing methodology, creating team enablement, onboarding new architects, and recruiting to build the team.

This role is 50% billable and in addition to team leadership, you will work with our customers and partners as a Data Architect to solve critically important business challenges using Salesforce’s platform and core data fundamentals.

Responsibilities:

• You will be required to deliver technical work (as a data/technical architect) on billable projects at 50% utilization and balance that with leading your team of Technical Consultants/Architects

  • Define and govern the overall data architecture strategy across Salesforce orgs, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise data standards

  • Own end-to-end data migration strategy and execution - covering discovery, profiling, cleansing, transformation, load, and validation

  • Advise clients on Salesforce object model best practices - standard vs. custom objects, relationships (lookup, master-detail, polymorphic), and schema design

  • Lead decisions on data access patterns, sharing model, OWD, role hierarchy, and field-level security as they relate to data architecture

  • Establish data governance frameworks, data ownership models, and data stewardship practices

  • Design solutions across multi-org, multi-cloud, and hybrid data environments

• You’ll have up to 15 direct reports under your scope of responsibility.

• You’ll be responsible for hiring, training, and mentoring our Technical Consultants so they can implement successfully in turning the program design of our Solution Architects and Technical Architects into highest-quality solutions that meets the customers’ needs, ensuring continuous team enablement across modern AI coding environments.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the client, guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies and Enterprise AI Architecture frameworks that drive increased business value.

• Identify and lead internal critical initiatives to grow the practice; serving as an active contributor to the community’s overall knowledge base and expertise, championing an AI-First Delivery & Engineering model across your delivery team.

• Work closely on projects with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and directly with clients to architect technology solutions to meet client needs.

• Lead Enterprise Architecture and Governance for an enterprise-level customer engagement. Serve as a trusted advisor to the client driving conversations with their Enterprise Architects and business stakeholders that shape the architectural vision, integrate scalable predictive/generative AI elements securely, and establish a program architectural roadmap.

• Lead functional and technical workshops. Demonstrate leadership skills in designing, delivering, testing, and deploying.

• Lead a project team of developers focused on driving optimized solutions for our clients leveraging Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Industries Cloud and Experience Cloud, guiding teams on the effective use of AI development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to maintain delivery speed and code health.

• Ensure the success of these teams while securing the highest CSAT and business outcomes, focusing on Performance Evaluation & ROI by defining metric frameworks to measure the business value of client AI workloads.

• Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party stakeholders.

• Highlight and manage risk areas in the solution in a proactive manner, and commit to seeing an issue through to completion.

Minimum Requirements:

• 10-15 years of experienceleading Salesforce technical consulting projects and handling individual contributors, with a strong data focus.

• 5+ years of people management experience.

• Strong application design skills combined with strong data, integration, and security architecture skills.

• Proficiency with data integration tools (Informatica, Talend, or similar)

• Solid understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, SOQL, Python, data loading tools, and Salesforce governor limits.

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (formerly CDP)

• Expertise in one or multiples of → Sales/Service/Experience Cloud, Salesforce Industries Cloud (Comms, H&I or FSC OR RCA/RCB) with a foundational familiarity with Agentforce architectures being a plus.

Preferred Requirements:

• Salesforce Certification Preferred (Admin, App Builder, Sales, and Service Clouds, Application Architect)

• Thorough individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies, specifically keeping pace with AI-assisted delivery trends and data compliance practices.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience.

• A great listener with the ability to communicate with people in diverse roles.

• Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration.

• Resourceful and innovative thinker who can work through and solve problems.
