SaskTenders is the Government of Saskatchewan's online gateway for public sector tender notices, run by the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement from Victoria Avenue in Regina. It lists hundreds of open competitions from provincial ministries, agencies, Crown corporations, municipalities, school boards and health bodies, and supports suppliers alongside the government's GEM procurement system and training. Suppliers can browse open, awarded and closed opportunities by category and buying organisation, which makes the portal the main public record of public sector purchasing in Saskatchewan.

The Opportunity:

The Ministry of Justice provides a fair and accessible justice system that promotes safe and secure communities and supports the rights and well-being of Saskatchewan people. The Ministry is seeking a highly organized, service-focused and discreet professional to join the Compassionate Intervention Act Tribunal Office as a Hearing Coordinator. Reporting to the Registrar, you will play a key role in establishing and supporting the Tribunal’s operations by coordinating applications and case files from intake through closure, scheduling and preparing fair, timely and accessible hearings, maintaining accurate and confidential records, and providing clear procedural information to participants and partners. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with health and justice partners.

  • Coordinate Tribunal files from intake through closure, including tracking applications, opening files, scheduling proceedings, preparing notices, arranging hearings, issuing post-hearing documentation and monitoring statutory and operational deadlines.
  • Review applications and supporting materials for completeness, identify procedural issues, obtain missing information and prepare accurate hearing files for Tribunal members.
  • Schedule hearings, case conferences and adjournments; coordinate participants; and prepare notices, correspondence, agendas, records, orders and other Tribunal documents using approved procedures and templates.
  • Arrange accessible, in-person or virtual hearings, including interpretation, accommodations, technology, culturally appropriate supports and safety measures, and provide administrative support during proceedings.
  • Maintain confidential hearing records, case data, calendars, decision logs and filing systems in accordance with privacy, access-to-information and records retention requirements; prepare reports, updates and correspondence for senior review.
  • Liaise with Tribunal participants and health, justice, community and government partners to support hearing readiness and resolve logistical or administrative issues.
  • Provide clear procedural information to applicants, parties, counsel, service providers, partners and the public without giving legal or clinical advice, and contribute to consistent Tribunal Office procedures and service delivery.

  • Is adaptable, continuously learns from experience and applies those learnings to new situations.
