This position is part of a plant ramp-up initiative and will play a key role in establishing processes, supporting operational growth, and driving successful production scale-up from day one.

What will you do?

  • Lead and support the downstream planning team to ensure a smooth flow of orders through production, with a focus on material availability, on-time delivery, and effective management of production complexity.
  • Monitor production start-up performance and implement improvements that increase output and reduce back order volume.
  • Lead the Master Production Planning process in partnership with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with established production system standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain value stream maps for current and future manufacturing processes and drive initiatives that reduce product lead times through cross-functional improvement plans.
  • Monitor and improve downstream supply chain performance at the plant level.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by tracking and improving key operational metrics, including:
    • Internal Supplier Service Rating
    • Back Order Lines
    • On-Time Delivery
    • Customer Lead Time
    • Days of Inventory
    • Net Inventory
    • Finished Goods Inventory
    • Excess and Obsolete Inventory
  • Contribute to new product introduction activities by evaluating manufacturability and production feasibility.
  • Maintain and update Enterprise Resource Planning systems, including SAP S/4HANA, by adjusting production orders and routing information as needed to support engineering changes and planning strategies.
  • Depending on organizational needs and team structure, this role may include direct leadership responsibilities for downstream planners and production schedulers.

Who will you report to? Supply Chain Manager.

What qualifications will help you be successful in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience with manufacturing planning, scheduling, and production processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience with Structured Query Language, Tableau, AutoCAD, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions, influence stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
