Our Mainframe Transaction team is responsible for the critical IMS and MQ infrastructure that powers some of the bank's most important transaction and integration services.

We are looking for a Senior IMS/MQ System Programmerto help drive the evolution, stability, and modernization of our transaction and messaging platforms on IBM z/OS.

About the role

As amember of the team, you will combine technical expertise with ownership of strategic platform initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring that SEB's IMS and MQ environments remain secure, resilient, scalable, and available around the clock.Your responsibilities will include:

• Installation, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle management of IMS TM, IMS DB, and IBM MQ on z/OS.

• Driving platform modernization initiatives and adoption of new technologies and capabilities.

• Ensuring platform stability, availability, performance, and resilience in a highly business-critical environment.

• Supporting developers, architects, and application teams with technical expertise and guidance.

• Troubleshooting efforts for complex incidents and performance challenges.

• Managing upgrades, migrations, security improvements, and vulnerability remediation activities.

• Working with automation, monitoring, observability, and operational excellence initiatives.

• Contributing to disaster recovery, high availability, and continuous service improvement.

• Collaborating closely with security, infrastructure, application, and architecture teams across SEB.

• Acting as mentor and knowledge-sharing expert within the team and the broader Mainframe community.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have

• Experience as a z/OS System Programmer within IMS and/or MQ environments.

• Understanding of IMS TM, IMS DB, IBM MQ for z/OS, and transaction-processing environments.

• Preferablyexperience working with high-availability solutions, Parallel Sysplex, disaster recovery, and critical production environments.

• Understanding of mainframe security, compliance, and operational controls.

• Preferablyexperience with performance analysis, tuning, automation, monitoring, and incident management.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to take ownership, drive initiatives, and influence technical direction.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries.

• Fluency in English. Swedish is considered a merit.
