Software Development Lead

JOB REQUIREMENTS • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in as a Development Lead, Engineering Manager, or similar leadership role. • Strong hands-on technical background in backend/frontend/cloud technologies. • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and microservices architecture. • Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, version control, and DevOps practices, containers, CI/CD, and scalable architectures. • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and project management, problem solving skills. • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical and business information clearly. • Ability to handle multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment. • Strong ownership mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes. • Passion for mentoring, building teams, and improving engineering culture. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Team Leadership & People Management • Lead, mentor, and manage the entire development team, including interns, junior developers, and senior engineers. • Conduct regular training sessions, knowledge-sharing meetings, and capability-building workshops. • Identify skill gaps and create growth plans for team members. • Manage performance reviews, provide feedback, and support career progression. • Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance. Project & Delivery Management • Own the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from planning to deployment. • Break down product requirements into sprint tasks and assign responsibilities. • Define and manage project deadlines, delivery milestones, and development roadmaps with the team. • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality features aligned with product goals. • Work closely with the CEO for project planning, updates, and escalations. • Ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions. Technical Leadership • Provide architectural direction for scalable, secure, multi-tenant, multi-region systems. • Review code, ensure adherence to coding standards, and drive continuous improvements. • Evaluate and implement new technologies to keep the product stack modern and efficient. • Ensure best practices in security, performance, documentation, and DevOps pipelines. • Lead R&D initiatives for new features, tools, or tech stacks. Process & Quality Ownership • Implement and refine engineering processes, coding guidelines, and development workflows. • Ensure strict adherence to SDLC, secure development practices, and code review processes. • Introduce automation where possible (CI/CD, testing, deployment flows). • Drive continuous improvement in team productivity and software quality. • Conduct root-cause analysis and lead improvements to reduce bugs and downtime. Communication & Reporting • Act as the primary communication bridge between the CEO and development team. • Provide weekly project reports, progress updates, risk assessments, and performance insights. • Maintain transparency and clarity in project communication across the organization. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work directly with the CEO, Product leadership, and other department heads. • Align technical decisions with business objectives and customer needs. • Support SOC, support teams, and clients for escalations when required. Working Days & Time: Monday to Friday – 10AM to 7PM.
