Role Overview :
We are seeking a seasoned Lead Application Support professional to anchor our technical operations in Gurugram.
In this role, you will serve as the primary escalation point for complex application issues, ensuring the seamless performance of our mission-critical banking platforms.
You will work in close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, infrastructure specialists, and key business stakeholders to diagnose system bottlenecks and implement robust, long-term resolutions.
By maintaining high system availability and optimizing incident response workflows, you will directly influence the reliability of our financial services, ensuring a frictionless experience for our end-users and maintaining the integrity of our digital banking ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the end-to-end incident management process for banking applications to minimize downtime and maintain service level agreements for our global clients.
- Perform deep-dive root cause analysis on recurring technical issues to prevent future occurrences and improve overall system stability.
- Mentor a team of support engineers by providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of proactive troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
- Execute complex SQL queries to extract data, perform system audits, and resolve data-related discrepancies that impact financial reporting.
- Collaborate with software development teams during the release cycle to ensure smooth deployments and effective transition of new features into the production environment.
- Manage stakeholder communication during high-priority outages, providing clear, concise updates to ensure transparency and trust across the organization.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in managing high-availability application support environments, specifically within the banking or financial services domain.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data manipulation, database troubleshooting, and performance tuning within large-scale production databases.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot intricate technical issues across multi-tier application architectures, identifying bottlenecks in code, middleware, or network layers.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex technical challenges into actionable insights for non-technical business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of improving operational processes and reducing incident resolution times through automation or documentation.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment in Gurugram, balancing independent problem-solving with collaborative team efforts.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in application support roles.
