Founded in 2013, Sourcegraph is an AI-powered code intelligence platform designed to help software engineers search, understand, and automate edits across massive codebases. The platform offers universal code search and an AI coding assistant named Cody, enabling developers to navigate complex repositories, speed up context gathering, and fix issues faster. By integrating directly into existing developer workflows and hosting environments, the company helps large engineering teams scale productivity and maintain code quality.

Who we are

Our mission is to bring clarity and control to the world's most complex codebases. AI is accelerating code creation, but the infrastructure to understand, oversee, and evolve that code hasn't kept pace. Sourcegraph gives engineering organizations full visibility across their systems, precise context for their agents, and the ability to execute coordinated code changes at scale. As agentic development becomes the dominant engineering paradigm, we provide the context layer teams need to take control of their codebase.

With Code Search, Deep Search, MCP, and Agentic Batch Changes, we deliver on that mission today - giving engineering teams and their AI tools the cross-repo context to navigate massive codebases with confidence, and the ability to make changes across hundreds of repositories at once.

Companies like Stripe, Reddit, and Leidos rely on Sourcegraph to ship faster and with higher quality. We're backed by a16z, Sequoia, and Redpoint, and proud to operate as a globally distributed team that values high agency, direct communication, and customer love.

If you want to build the infrastructure that lets every engineering team - and every agent they deploy - operate on their codebase with confidence, join us.

While we hire almost anywhere in the world, we have a preference for someone to reside in the following locations for this role. However, if you feel qualified, we welcome you to apply regardless of location. No matter what, working hours must overlap with Pacific Time for at least 25 hours/week.

Why this job is exciting

We are hiring a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to help us tell the Sourcegraph story and scale the go-to-market for one of the most critical pieces of engineering infrastructure for the largest enterprises building the future.

In this role, you will report to our Head of Marketing, and sit at the intersection of our go-to-market and technical teams to drive thought leadership, product leadership, and market leadership. Our customers are developers and engineering leaders at the largest and most successful companies in the world who rely on us to help them write better code, understand their codebases, secure their products, and adopt the newest and most impactful technology. You will translate deep technical capability into clear market narratives, turn product direction into launches that land, and ensure go-to-market is aligned, credible, and effective.

Sourcegraph is a $50m ARR business and growing fast. We are doubling down on our core Search technology, including Deep Search, Code Search, Sourcegraph MCP and APIs for agents, and critical code migration and workflow engines, like Agentic Batch Changes for large-scale changes at scale. You will be responsible for the technical product marketing that will bring that story to life in the market, as well as ensuring alignment with and results from our Demand Gen and DevRel teams.

We move fast and hold ourselves to an extremely high bar for product quality and Developer authenticity. If you’ve made a mark in product marketing for developers, talk to us.

Within one month, you will…

About you

You have a track record of success in driving and owning product marketing initiatives end-to-end. You’re equally comfortable shaping narratives that connect with our technical enterprise audience, enabling sales, and shipping launches that move the business forward. You understand the software development lifecycle and are excited about how AI is reshaping developer tools and workflows.

Must-haves:

  • 5+ years of work experience in product marketing, developer marketing, product management, or related technical marketing roles in a B2B enterprise setting.
  • Strong familiarity with developer tools and modern developer workflows, with a deep interest in AI-driven software development.
  • Proven ownership of end-to-end technical product launches, spanning positioning, field enablement, and launch execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with technical teams to define what sets Sourcegraph apart and translate that differentiation into clear, credible, and memorable stories across channels.
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales motions and navigating complex buying cycles.
  • Strong sales enablement muscle, building and maintaining high-impact collateral and assets that scale and move enterprise deals forward.
  • Experience delivering integrated campaigns in partnership with Demand Generation, Field Marketing, and DevRel across webinars, videos, web content, and events.
  • Customer-first mindset, translating real customer feedback into messaging, positioning, and product direction.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with a deep understanding of how modern software is built, shipped, and adopted.
  • Bias toward action, moving quickly and putting bold ideas into motion.
