About the Role
As an Actuarial Intern reporting directly to our P&C Appointed Actuary, you'll be immersed in meaningful work that contributes to our company's success while developing your technical and professional capabilities in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Year-end and quarterly statutory reserve reporting and supporting analyses
- Schedule P and other regulatory reporting workpapers
- Reserve roll-forwards, variance analysis, and documentation support
- Working file and regulatory reporting simplification and automation so that statutory deadlines can be met
- Process documentation, workflow standardization, and control activities

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, with Visual Basic Programming capabilities
- Demonstrated progress in actuarial exams
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience with R, Python, Power BI, or other database management tools
- Previous internship experience in insurance, finance, or related fields
- Knowledge of IFRS 17 concepts
- Proactive learning style with intellectual curiosity
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
