Operations Lead - Data

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Operations Lead to oversee end-to-end data operations across multiple asset classes. You will manage critical data workflows, including ingestion, validation, and security master management, while driving automation and governance initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with reconciliation teams and global leadership to ensure seamless data integrity and operational scalability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on investment data operations and management.
• Oversee end-to-end data workflows including onboarding, ingestion, validation, and reporting.
• Ensure operational excellence through strong governance, risk control, and SLA adherence.
• Direct data operations including management of market data, security master, and transaction feeds.
• Maintain integrity across IBOR, accounting, and risk systems to ensure accurate valuations.
• Develop and implement standardized SOPs and control frameworks to reduce process variance.
• Partner with the reconciliation team to identify root causes of breaks and design durable fixes.
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline data workflows and enhance straight-through processing.
• Manage vendor transitions and insourcing initiatives related to data and market data services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related discipline; advanced degree or certification (CFA, FRM) is preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in investment operations, fund accounting, or data management within financial services.
• Proven experience in private markets, specifically including private credit.
• Strong understanding of market data governance, security master management, and the trade lifecycle.
• Proficiency with industry-standard platforms such as Aladdin, eFront, Solvas, or Sentry.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work from the office in Mumbai 5 days a week.
