Technical Test Automation Specialist

This role involves designing, developing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of complex software systems. You will lead testing initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve defects, and influence technical decision-making. The position requires a strategic mindset to improve testing methodologies and mitigate risks within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure software functionality and compliance with quality standards.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using modern frameworks to facilitate early defect detection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and support developers in resolution.
• Lead and mentor team members, setting objectives and fostering a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Consult on complex technical issues and provide advice to stakeholders to support governance and risk mitigation.
• Engage in complex data analysis to solve problems creatively and influence project outcomes.
• Manage risk and strengthen controls related to software testing and deployment processes.

Requirements

• 8-15 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Strong proficiency in Python with experience building or contributing to test automation frameworks.
• Extensive experience in both manual and automated testing, including UI and API automation.
• Proven experience building test automation pipelines using Gitlab.
• Solid understanding of testing lifecycles, test planning, and defect management.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, including knowledge of landing zones.
• Experience with source code control systems, specifically Git and Gitlab.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator (AZ-104), AWS, or GCP certifications are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
