Our project portfolio includes factories and production facilities for automotive and battery manufacturers, food production plants, other manufacturing facilities, logistics centers and warehouses, as well as energy, hydrogen, oil & gas and transportation-related facilities. We provide General Contracting, Design & Build, MEP and multidisciplinary construction services for major international investors and industrial clients.

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Director to join our Madrid office, strengthen our presence in Spain and drive new business opportunities within the industrial construction market. The role requires regular travel within Spain and, when necessary, internationally.

The ideal candidate will combine strong market knowledge, an established network within the Spanish industrial sector and a proven track record in developing and securing large-scale construction projects.

As for the skills and experience we are looking for:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Development, Commercial Management or a similar client-facing role within construction, general contracting or industrial engineering.
• Previous experience working in the Construction Industry.
• Proven track record in developing and securing large-scale industrial construction projects.
• Previous experience in selling construction, General Contracting, Design & Build or comparable project-based services, rather than product-based sales.
• Strong existing network within the Spanish industrial market, particularly among investors, project owners, engineering companies, consultants and other key stakeholders.
• Experience working with large multinational and industrial clients and managing complex, high-value opportunities.
• Good understanding of construction project lifecycles, tender processes, commercial negotiations and contract award processes.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Native or full professional proficiency in Spanish and fluent English are required.
• Willingness to travel within Spain and internationally when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the business development strategy for the Spanish market.
• Identify and develop new opportunities in large-scale industrial investments, including automotive, battery manufacturing, manufacturing, food & beverage, logistics and other industrial facilities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, project owners, developers, engineering companies, consultants and key decision-makers.
• Identify upcoming investments at an early stage and position the company before formal tender processes begin.
• Promote the company's General Contracting, Design & Build and industrial construction capabilities.
• Manage the business development cycle from opportunity identification and qualification through tender strategy, commercial negotiations and contract award.
• Maintain a strong and qualified project pipeline and provide reliable forecasts and market intelligence.
• Work closely with Tendering, Estimation, Engineering, Contracts and Project Management teams to develop competitive proposals and commercial strategies.
• Represent the company at relevant industry events, conferences and networking activities.
