You Are

You have spent enough time in digital design or verification to know that the real work starts when something breaks in a way the documentation never mentioned. Debugging is not just a skill for you, it is how you think. You follow the signal, trace the logic, and figure out what actually happened versus what should have happened, and you can explain the difference to someone who was not there when it broke.

Working with customers does not intimidate you. You have learned that the best support is not about having every answer immediately, it is about asking the right questions, reproducing the issue, and staying with it until it makes sense. You know your way around Verilog or VHDL well enough to read someone else's RTL and spot where the problem might be hiding.

You are comfortable working across time zones with engineers in different locations, and you understand that being remote does not mean working in a vacuum. At Synopsys, you will be part of a global team supporting EDA tools that matter, and the work you do will directly affect how customers deploy and trust the products we build.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide technical support for Synopsys EDA tools to customers, diagnosing issues in digital design, RTL, and verification workflows
• Debug customer designs and tool behavior, reproducing issues, isolating root causes, and delivering clear explanations and workarounds
• Work directly with customers to understand their design environments, deployment challenges, and tool usage patterns
• Collaborate with product engineering teams across regions to escalate bugs, request enhancements, and close the loop on customer feedback
• Contribute to internal knowledge bases, support documentation, and best practices based on real customer cases
• Support product deployment activities including installation guidance, configuration troubleshooting, and onboarding assistance
• Participate in team case reviews and technical discussions to share learnings and improve support quality across the team

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
• 2 to 3 years of industry experience in digital design, verification, EDA tool usage, or technical customer support
• Strong understanding of digital electronics fundamentals and logic design principles
• Hands-on experience with hardware description languages, specifically Verilog or VHDL
• Demonstrated ability to debug complex technical issues methodically and explain findings clearly
• Experience with any of the following is a strong plus: EDA/CAD tools, simulation environments, synthesis flows, formal verification, DFT, static or dynamic verification, timing analysis, physical implementation tools, or FPGA/ASIC design
• Comfort working with global teams across time zones and communicating technical details in English, both written and spoken

• You stay calm when a customer is frustrated, and you focus on solving the problem rather than defending the tool
• You do not need to know everything before you start, you know how to dig into documentation, ask the right internal experts, and piece together an answer
• You are organized enough to manage multiple support cases at once without losing track of what you promised to whom
• You can explain a technical tradeoff or a tool limitation to a customer in a way that makes sense without sounding like you are making excuses
• You are comfortable saying "I do not know yet, but I will find out" and then actually following through

The Team You'll Be Part Of

You will be working as part of the Colombo-based team supporting Synopsys EDA tools for customers globally. The team collaborates closely with remote engineering and support teams across different continents, and your role will involve both reactive support and proactive engagement to improve product deployment and customer satisfaction.
