Our client is a Kraków-based game studio building slots and casino games. They are launching two new product lines - classic slots and a brand-new line of hyper-casual 3D games with a gambling twist - and are looking for a hands-on Art Director to own the visual side.

This is not a role for someone who only reviews other people's work. You will set the art direction and make a big part of the art yourself - using AI tools wherever they speed things up, and your own skills where they don't.

Responsibilities

Senior, full-time role on a B2B contract
Hybrid work in Kraków - around 1-2 days a week in the office for brainstorming and fast iterations with the team
Real creative ownership in a small team, with direct contact with the CEO, game producer and developers
A chance to shape the look and the AI art pipeline of brand-new game lines
Start: January 2027

Requirements

Set the art direction and visual style for new games, from first sketch to release
Produce art yourself: symbols, backgrounds, characters and paint-over in Photoshop
Design game UI: layout, hierarchy and colour
Animate in Spine: rigging, animating and fixing files coming from AI tools and external studios
Build the AI art workflow from scratch - generation, paint-over, prompts, pipelines and reusable setups that end in Spine-ready assets
Work side by side with the game producer and developers to get art into the games
Lead external art studios (briefs, feedback, quality control) and bring more of the work in-house over time
