Job Summary

Job Description: L1 VoIP Engineer (ILD Voice NOC) & SMS operations

Experience Level: 2‿3 Years | Location: NOC Operations | Shift: 24/7 Rotational

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve escalated tickets involving one way audio, PDD (Post Dial Delay), dead air, and $4xx$/$5xx$/$6xx$ SIP error codes.
• Traffic Surveillance: Proactively monitor ILD traffic KPIs (ASR, ACD, NER) to detect route degradation or outages before they impact customers.
• Carrier Interconnects: Liaise with international Tier 1 and Tier 2 carriers for circuit testing, fault isolation, and RFO (Reason for Outage) documentation.
• Protocol Analysis: Perform deep packet analysis of SIP ladders and RTP streams to identify latency, jitter, and packet loss.
• Routing Management: Assist in Least Cost Routing (LCR) updates and implement translation rules/digit manipulation on Media Gateways.
• Fraud Mitigation: Monitor and block suspicious traffic patterns related to IRSF (International Revenue Share Fraud) and Wangiri attacks.
• Incident management L1/L2 support, Act as NOC team for routing/quality issues and manage monitoring and alerting for all aspects of SMS Delivery completion and quality
• Onboard, test and analyze new and existing partner/carrier connectivity to unlock new quality and pricing opportunities
• Onboard clients by explaining platform features and global messaging requirements and limitations and handling issues reported by them.
• Knowledge Management Create and maintain accurate and easy to follow internal documentation of new and existing operational processes.
• Work with our teams in a full transparent and respectful manner.

Required:

• Good to have Voice & SMS messaging knowledge but not compulsory
• Ability to communicate in English fluently to engage with stakeholders and partners
• 1+ years experience in production support or Network Operations
• Fluency in performing analysis and evaluation using key operational metrics.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolve critical or escalated technical issues
• Thorough, organized, and process oriented to the extreme. You‿re an expert at prioritizing and handling multiple issues simultaneously.
• Bachelor‿s degree or equivalent experience required.
