Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Manager with extensive experience in managing and optimizing IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL Server DBA knowledge, ensuring the integrity, performance, and security of our database systems. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead infrastructure projects, manage teams, and collaborate with cross functional departments to support our organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network systems.
• Manage SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, backup, and recovery processes.
• Lead a team of infrastructure engineers and DBAs, providing mentorship and guidance to enhance their skills and performance.
• Develop and implement infrastructure policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and security.
• Collaborate with application development teams to optimize database performance and support application deployment.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations, ensuring seamless transitions with minimal impact on users.
• Prepare and manage budgets for infrastructure projects, ensuring cost effective solutions.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in SQL Server database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Proficient in performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience with infrastructure management tools and technologies.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
• Certifications in SQL Server (MCSA, MCSE) or relevant infrastructure management certifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10 15 years of experience in infrastructure management, with a focus on SQL Server DBA responsibilities.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
