Software Engineer

Bcore is hiring a Software Engineer to support the NGA customer mission as part of an integrated partner development team. The role focuses on developing and deploying secure AWS cloud architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and service observability.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support to customer partner program as an integrated builder on a partner development team
• Develop and deploy AWS cloud architectures through CDK, IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and cross-fabric/cross-account deployments, with a focus on secure CDK constructs and least-privilege design
• Build out observability across services: CloudWatch metrics, synthetics canaries, and alerting
• Clearance and Access - willing to access isolated networks multiple times per week

Skills

• Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and CI Poly
• Strong familiarity with developing Infrastructure as Code to deploy managed services with AWS
• Ability to obtain Privileged User Access to customer environments
• AWS in general - AWS Solutions Architect Associate level of knowledge
• Experience migrating from On Premises infrastructure to AWS
• CI/CD pipelines and deployments through GitLab
• Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK
• Networking: VPCs, subnets, VPC endpoints, security groups
• Security and secure architecture design (secure CDK constructs, IAM policies, least privilege)
• Experience with Kubernetes, preferably EKS in a TS environment
• Observability: CloudWatch dashboards, synthetics canaries, alerting, etc
• Cross-fabric deployments
• Intelligence Community Experience preferred
