Introduction

Procurement is a strategic value driver, enabler of innovation, and critical partner in safeguarding enterprise resilience. Moving beyond traditional transactional purchasing, our function operates at the intersection of business strategy, commercial excellence, and technological enablement. We partner proactively with business units, corporate functions, and external ecosystems to optimize commercial spend, manage complex third-party risks, and unlock sustainable enterprise value.

Our vision is to build a modern, agile, and digitally enabled procurement organization that is recognized as a trusted strategic advisor across the business. We are steadily modernizing our ways of working-combining strong category expertise with data intelligence, internal digital solutions, and practical AI tools. Our goal is to streamline sourcing workflows, explore intelligent automation and agentic solutions, and free up our team to focus on high-impact commercial decision-making.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, commercially astute, and collaborative Vice President, Procurement to help lead and elevate our procurement organization. In this role, you will drive high-impact strategic sourcing initiatives, deepen business partnerships, and champion the ongoing modernization of our procurement practices. Working in an environment that actively embraces digital tools, you will lead the adoption of existing enterprise AI solutions and help identify practical opportunities to test and implement new AI tools and agent-assisted workflows to enhance team productivity and sourcing outcomes.

Responsibilities

1. Shape Strategic Sourcing & Category Excellence

  • Develop and execute holistic, forward-looking category strategies across a diverse spend portfolio (e.g., Technology, Professional Services, Operations, Real Estate, and Corporate/Financial Services).
  • Lead high-stakes negotiations, complex RFx processes, and strategic contracting to maximize commercial value, service quality, and favorable terms.
  • Apply market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, and commercial acumen to anticipate market trends, address cost pressures, and identify innovative supplier capabilities.
  • Champion demand management and total cost of ownership (TCO) principles to drive sustainable, long-term value creation.

2. Advance Digital Enablement & Practical AI Adoption

  • Drive the continuous modernization of procurement by embedding data analytics, digital tools, and company-approved AI solutions into day-to-day sourcing workflows.
  • Leverage existing enterprise AI tools and data platforms to streamline spend analysis, market research, contract review, and routine operational tasks.
  • Partner with technology and digital teams to explore, pilot, and scale emerging procurement technologies-such as specialized AI agents and automated workflows-to improve efficiency and stakeholder experience.
  • Promote a culture of digital curiosity and experimentation within the team, identifying high-value use cases where smart automation can remove friction.

3. Drive Stakeholder Partnership & Third-Party Governance

  • Establish Procurement as a proactive, high-trust business partner across business units, finance, legal, risk, and operations.
  • Partner closely with enterprise risk and compliance teams to lead robust Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), vendor governance, and supplier due diligence processes.
  • Embed Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, ethical sourcing practices, and operational resilience criteria across supplier evaluations.
  • Translate complex commercial, supplier, and contract topics into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations for senior leadership.

4. Foster Talent & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion a culture of commercial excellence, continuous learning, and practical innovation within the procurement team.
  • Continuously refine procurement policies, governance frameworks, and standard operating procedures to maintain agility without compromising control.

Requirements

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive procurement experience, with significant exposure to senior executive stakeholders, complex enterprise sourcing, and large-scale commercial negotiations.
  • Proven track record in category management and strategic sourcing across complex indirect and corporate spend categories.
  • Demonstrated track record of improving procurement processes, adopting new tools, or contributing to digital and operational transformation initiatives.
  • Deep experience in third-party risk management (TPRM), contract lifecycle management, supplier relationship management (SRM), and supplier governance.

Technical & Commercial Capabilities

  • Commercial Acumen & Negotiation: Outstanding commercial instincts with proven mastery in structuring complex multi-year agreements and high-value supplier contracts.
  • Digital & AI Openness: Practical familiarity with enterprise digital tools (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Power BI) and a strong enthusiasm for leveraging enterprise AI tools and emerging agent-based automation to enhance productivity.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Ability to synthesize complex spend and operational data into clear commercial narratives, business cases, and executive presentations.

Leadership Attributes

  • Strategic Influencer: Confident, articulate, and collaborative executive presence capable of navigating ambiguity and building strong consensus across business lines.
  • Practical Innovator: A growth mindset with genuine curiosity toward emerging technologies, pragmatic about finding real-world applications that add tangible value.
  • Trusted Business Partner: High emotional intelligence, integrity, and a solutions-oriented mindset that positions procurement as an enabler rather than a gatekeeper.
