Terma is a Danish high-tech defense and security company headquartered in Lystrup near Aarhus, Denmark, developing radar systems, aircraft self-protection, command and control software, aerostructures and space products. Founded in 1949, the group operates across Europe, the US, the Middle East and Asia, with major Danish sites in Lystrup and Søborg and space engineering teams in Darmstadt, Vienna, Munich and Prague. It hires software engineers, project and product managers, sales managers for its SCANTER radars, purchasers, financial controllers, space engineers and student workers, with security clearance required for many roles.

Do you want to help build and test the systems that support space electronics hardware? In this role, you will contribute to the design, construction, and continuous improvement of advanced test systems while working in a collaborative environment where quality, learning, and knowledge sharing are valued. Come and join us!

We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes. We continue to evolve our advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry to deliver real-world solutions that matter to the security of people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Technician to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose - securing people through advanced technology.

Your role as part of the team

As our new Technician, you will play an important role in supporting the development, production, and testing of systems used for space electronics hardware. You will help design, build, maintain, and improve test systems while contributing hands-on expertise in electronics assembly, soldering, and hardware integration. You will also support the upkeep of our laboratory facilities and ensure technical documentation remains accurate and up to date.

You will become part of our Space organization in Lystrup, consisting of around 50 colleagues. The environment is open, informal, and collaborative, with help, feedback, and knowledge sharing readily available. We take pride in developing people and technology, and we value diverse perspectives, curiosity, and continuous improvement. We care about the work we do and the people behind it.

Technical skills matter, but your mindset matters just as much. We are looking for someone who is calm, structured, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and a willingness to take initiative. If you enjoy solving practical challenges, improving existing methods, and finding effective solutions to complex hardware builds, you could be a great addition to our team.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

In this role, you will contribute to a range of tasks across your area of responsibility. Your key responsibilities include:

    • Help design, build, maintain, and improve test systems for space electronics hardware
    • Produce, assemble, solder, and mount custom electronics hardware and mechatronic solutions for test systems
    • Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation related to hardware, test setups, and procedures
    • Support general laboratory maintenance and ensure equipment and work areas remain organized and operational
    • Contribute to the optimization of build methods, testing approaches, and working procedures to improve quality and efficiency.

Bring your expertise into play

To thrive in this role, we imagine that you bring some of the following qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience within electronics hardware production, assembly, and testing
    • An educational background as an Electronics Technician, Electronics Technologist, or a similar qualification within electronics
    • Knowledge of analogue electronics, electronic systems, and testing methods and principles
    • Hands-on experience with soldering, hardware assembly, and the construction of mechatronic systems
    • The ability to understand complex test systems and how they interact with the products being developed and tested.

Most importantly, we believe diverse experiences add value to our team and organization. Therefore, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all the above requirements.

As we are an international organization, it is important that you are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level.

We are committed to creating a more diverse and balanced workplace that reflects the talent and perspectives around us.
